Bloomberg: Cheap version of Apple Vision Pro will cost $1,500-$2,500
Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman revealed how much an affordable version of Apple’s Vision Pro headset could cost. The material was published on the publication’s website.
According to a specialist, a cheaper version of Apple’s augmented reality glasses will be valued at $1,500-2,500, or about 150-250 thousand rubles. For comparison: the Vision Pro AR glasses announced in June were priced at a minimum of $3,500 (about 350 thousand rubles).
From the data disclosed by the insider, it follows that Apple will have to save on some components of the device. Thus, the new device will not support EyeSight technology, which allows you to track the user’s eyes. The compromise device will also have fewer cameras and lower-resolution screens.
Mark Gurman emphasized that, despite the price reduction, the new headset will not seem cheap to most Apple users. According to the observer, the company’s specialists are currently developing a more affordable headset, and not the next generation Vision Pro.
At the end of September, reputable insider Ming-Chi Ko said that Apple would not release a cheap version of the Vision Pro headset. The specialist did not disclose the reason for canceling the development of the device.
