Text messages are sent to Poles encouraging them to vote for PiS. However, their content arouses many suspicions, as does the sender.

Our readers receive strange text messages with electioneering for . They come from different numbers, and sometimes the phone marks them as a message from an “INFO” contact. The news is full of errors and it is difficult to say whether they are intended to help or even harm the ruling party.

There is no clickable link attached to the message, which would suggest that we are dealing with a scam or phishing scam. However, the unusual syntax and lack of Polish characters may mean that we are dealing here with foreigners, perhaps with a troll farm.

We asked for a comment on this matter, among others. to cybersecurity experts from CERT Polska and Niebezpiecznik. We asked who could send such text messages and whether it was possible to trace such people. As soon as we receive a response, we will immediately include it in the article.

If you have received such a message, it is worth refraining from replying and taking revenge on the sender. Scammers can take over or impersonate an email address or phone number and send messages without the knowledge of their owners. In such a case, it is best to report the matter to CERT.
