Netanyahu announced the suspension of Israel’s supply of electricity, food and other goods to Gaza.

The Hamas offensive was launched as Israel and Saudi Arabia, brokered by Washington, negotiated the establishment of bilateral ties, an approach condemned by Hamas and its ally Iran.
