GSM Arena: wireless charging in BMW cars broke the iPhone 15

Users of new iPhones and BMW cars spoke about the incompatibility of the gadget and the car. This was reported by GSM Arena.

Journalists for the publication referred to posts on the MacRumors forum, the authors of which talked about new problems with the iPhone 15. Several users complained that after using wireless charging in the car, their phone stopped working. Almost all users charged gadgets through BMW car charging.

A number of smartphone owners have experienced NFC, which is necessary for contactless payment, has broken down – they were told this at the Apple service center. For some users, the iPhone 15 rebooted and stopped turning on. GSM Arena journalists tried to charge an Apple smartphone via the BMW i7 xDrive60 interface and concluded that the iPhone was not damaged, but was not charged either.

Apple has not yet responded to the problem. According to journalists, BMW car owners should stop using wireless charging until Apple sorts out the incident.

In early October, journalists from The Wall Street Journal said that Apple would fix the iPhone 15 overheating problem in iOS 17. Apparently, the company will release a special update.
