Radiation-reducing update released for iPhone

Reuters: Apple has prepared an update for iPhone 12 that reduces radiation

Apple has prepared an update that reduces electromagnetic radiation from the iPhone 12. Reuters reports this.

Agency sources have found that the American corporation has provided the French authorities with an update that should reduce electromagnetic radiation from the iPhone 12. The local regulator should study it in the near future. If the new software is approved by the authorities, Apple will release a full update.

In this way, the company responded to the ban on the sale of iPhone 12 in France, which became known in mid-September. At the same time, Apple did not admit that their smartphones could be a source of life-threatening radiation.

According to journalists from the thematic portal 9to5Mac, mobile radio waves emanating from smartphones can cause local heating of human tissue. The World Health Organization (WHO) said there is no evidence this poses any health risk, but as a precaution, the amount of radio frequency energy emitted by smartphones is limited by law in many countries.

Earlier it became known that new Apple smartphones became cheaper on the Russian market for the first time. If at the start of sales the iPhone 15 was priced at 130 thousand rubles, then after some time the device turned out to be available for 100 thousand rubles.
