MacRumors: iPhone 15 Pro overheating due to errors in smartphone design
Overheating of Apple’s flagship smartphones may be caused by errors made during the design of the devices. This was reported by MacRumors.
The portal’s journalists referred to a report by authoritative insider Min-Chi Ko, which the specialist published on his blog on Medium. Ko said that the overheating problems that users of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max found were related to the design of the devices.
According to the specialist, Apple engineers had to make a compromise to reduce the weight of the flagships. To achieve this, the company made some changes to the heat removal system. Ming-Chi Ko said that the critical problem is difficult to fix with iOS updates, but Apple may limit the performance of the A17 Pro processors used in smartphones. According to Ko, the problem could affect flagship sales throughout the gadgets’ entire life cycle.
Users previously drew attention to the problem with overheating of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Visitors to the MacRumors forum said that the flagships get very hot – both when launching games, and when charging or launching various applications.
At the end of September, Apple specialists explained to Numerama journalists why the camera of new smartphones does not have a tenfold zoom. According to engineers, with a tenfold zoom it is extremely difficult to ensure good camera stabilization.
