Buyers of new iPhones face delays due to production problems

Early buyers of Apple smartphones will face delivery delays. This was reported by 9to5Mac.

The portal’s journalists referred to authoritative insider Ming-Chi Ko, who said that Apple has not yet resolved some production problems. Because of this, the corporation will not be able to establish constant supplies of top-end smartphones of the new iPhone 15 series.

At the same time, the analyst denied that delays in sales are due to high demand for the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models. According to him, the demand for current models remained at approximately the same level as for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max in 2022. Ming-Chi Ko noted that the problems are related specifically to the most expensive devices in the series – the basic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are not out of stock.

According to the Apple website, when pre-ordering an iPhone 15, a user from the United States can receive it on September 22, the day sales start. However, if you order the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max, the company will deliver the device within 6-7 weeks – that is, until the end of October or the beginning of November.

For the first time, Ming-Chi Ko said at the end of August that the release of Apple’s most expensive flagship might be delayed due to production problems. The specialist said that the problems lie in “high processing complexity and significant design changes during development.”
