After the presentation of the iPhone 15 series smartphones, the company announced that the public version of iOS 17 will be available for download on September 18. iPadOS 17 for iPad and watchOS 10 for Apple Watch will also be released on this day.
The release of the new operating system for Mac computers will take place later – macOS Sonoma will be released on September 26. Updating to new versions of operating systems can be requested through the settings of smartphones, tablets, smart watches and computers.
The new OS for iPhone will receive a redesign, call screen settings, the function of automatically decrypting messages from an answering machine, and a new AirDrop data transfer system. In June, Apple said that iOS 17 would be available on the second-generation iPhone SE, iPhone Xs and Xr, and newer smartphones.
Previously, French regulators ordered Apple to suspend sales of the iPhone 12. The regulators concluded that the device was characterized by increased electromagnetic radiation and required Apple to take corrective measures.
