AFP: France to suspend sales of iPhone 12 due to electromagnetic radiation
French regulators have ordered Apple to suspend sales of the iPhone 12 due to too much electromagnetic radiation. AFP reports this, citing the agency that monitors radio frequencies in the country (ANFR).
The publication notes that accredited laboratories recorded the absorption of electromagnetic energy by the body at a level of 5.74 watts per kilogram, although the standard value is 4.0 watts per kilogram.
ANFR also called on Apple to take corrective measures as soon as possible to bring already sold gadgets into compliance. “Otherwise, Apple will have to recall them,” the department concluded.
Earlier, Apple announced the price of the iPhone 15 at the annual presentation of new devices. The cost of the iPhone 15 with a 128 GB drive will be $799. The iPhone 15 Plus with a larger screen starts at $899.
