She has been professionally active for years and has sung on probably every stage in Polish cities. Although she has released almost 20 albums and performed hundreds of concerts over the years, she cannot think calmly about her upcoming retirement. It turns out that despite so many years of work.
Majka Jeżowska will have a starvation pension
Majka Jeżowska is unfortunately one of those stars who, during decades of work, did not make sure to save any contributions to the Social Insurance Institution. As a result, when the singer retires and gives up performing, a very small amount will be transferred to her account each month, and the artist will have to rely only on what she has saved over the years.
In an interview with the weekly “Wprost”, Majka Jeżowska revealed the amount of her pension she will receive:
Just don’t complain that I’m complaining, because I knew I would get such a pension. I have never worked for anyone, never been employed full-time. The only points I deserve are for having a child and studying. I have always been an independent, self-employed person and I have what I have. The pension is less than a thousand zlotys, she said.
Majka Jeżowska’s pension amount does not differ much from the low payments for other well-known retirees. Those who were not lucky enough to work full-time and save contributions regularly throughout their lives, sometimes sadly confess in the media that they cannot count on state aid. Andrzej Rosiewicz would receive less than PLN 600, Beata Tyszkiewicz about PLN 1,500, and Teresa Lipowska less than she receives for one day of work on the set of “M jak miłość”. No wonder everyone works as long as they have the strength.
