Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, a Tesla-owned electric car factory located east of Berlin, registered its participation at the fair. As the fair organizers explain to the Szczecin portal, the American company will exhibit together with the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency (WFBB) and ICU Investor Center Uckermark GmbH, an institution supporting the local economy of the Uckermark district bordering Poland.
The list of positions to be filled and the details of the offers remain unknown for now, and the fair organizers themselves admit that they are curious what Tesla has prepared for Poles ready to work near Berlin. At the same time, they admit that they expect huge interest.
They remind us that during the spring edition of the Job Fair in Szczecin, the footwear manufacturer Birkenstock appeared, opening a plant in September just 50 km from the Polish city. The company’s stand was under a real siege at that time. Tesla’s German factory is located almost three times farther, about 160 km from the center of Szczecin, but many Poles can still be tempted by work at the Gigafactory.
– We expect great interest, and we are also curious about the offer that Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg will prepare for the residents of Szczecin and the surrounding area – said Maciej Patynowski from the Polish Entrepreneurial Society Foundation in an interview with Szczeciner.pl. So far, 40 employers have confirmed their participation during the October edition of the fair, and the organizers expect approximately 100 positions.
