A website created by the Pentagon will allow reporting sightings of “unidentified flying objects” and present officially declassified information about activities the US government calls “unidentified anomalous phenomenon” (UAP).
This week, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder detailed the launch of the website in a press release www.aaro.mil referred to the Department’s All Domains Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) to provide information to the public about the Pentagon’s efforts to understand UFOs.
Ryder said the site contains released and approved official reports, transcripts, press releases and other resources, including videos and photos, that the community may find useful, as well as indexes of reports and FAQs on disclosure cases.
At the moment, the website has published eight recordings made by various branches of the US military.
The official emphasized that the Pentagon is committed to being transparent to the public about AARO’s work on UFOs.
Last July, Three former officers testified before the US House of Representatives committee charged with investigating so-called “unidentified anomalous phenomena.”
The United States National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) has also created a special commission to study unidentified aerial phenomena, popularly known as “UFOs.” (JO)
