The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) informs its users that each form has a web page with important information on how to complete the form and where to send it. Make sure you submit the application and fees to the correct office to avoid delays, they say.

They suggest looking up all USCIS forms. Submit yours, they invite, online “for an easier and safer experience”.

The USCIS points out that for forms that are only available in print format, you must select the “Form Details” button to download and view the instructions.

Keep in mind: USCIS forms and USCIS online accounts are free.

Where can you submit the forms?

Each form has a web page with important information on how to complete the form and where to submit it. If you do not submit your form to the correct office or rate, you will experience a delay in processing your case.

They ask that the application or petition not be mailed to the ‘HQPDI’ address listed on the forms – ‘that address is only for sending comments on the form itself’.

Instructions and checklists

Read the form instructions that you will provide these before completing and submitting the form.

In some circumstances, “the formula sheet web page will indicate that the wording requirements have changed, but the instructions for the form have not yet been revised. This notice is located in the Special Instructions section on the main page of the form. Be sure to follow these special instructions.”

Many of the form pages have a checklist to help you send all required documentation along with your form. However, these checklists do not replace the official instructions on the forms.
