Donald Trump is asking his supporters to donate money towards his legal fees and campaign as an act of patriotism

This Monday, Trump and 18 others were charged with having tried to change the result of the 2020 election for which they have until August 25 to appear in court in Georgia, as reported by Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis.

It is the fourth indictment against the former presidentas Trump has been indicted on three other counts: for alleged attempted plot to change the result of the 2020 election (in a Washington case), for negligence in the management of confidential documents (in a Florida court), and for allegedly concealed payments to a former porn actress to buy her silence (in a New York Court).

But that doesn’t seem to affect the popularity of the Republican, who holds up in the polls and is financially backed by his base.

“Biden’s Justice Department is trying to PASS ME FOR LIFETrump wrote in an email to his supporters, before asking the “patriots” to pass between 24 to $1,000 for your election candidacy.

“Our Republic is hanging by a thread and America needs you now,” he said.

Trump’s strategy is paying off, as the Republican campaign team announced collected more than $4 million within 24 hours of his first indictmentfor dubious payments to a porn actress.
