Xiaomi introduced the thinnest folding smartphone

The Chinese corporation Xiaomi has announced the release of a new generation of folding smartphone. This is reported by the publication GSM Arena.

According to the company, Mix Fold 3 is the thinnest folding device on the market. When unfolded, the thickness of the case is 5.26 mm, when folded – 10.89 mm. To achieve this result, the company’s engineers have developed a new hinge. The screen of the device can be rotated 135 degrees.

Mix Fold 3 has two OLED displays: the main LTPO screen has a diagonal of 8.03 inches and a resolution of 2160×1920 pixels, the external LTPO display received a 6.56-inch diagonal with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protective glass and a peak brightness of 2560 nits.

The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, has 16 gigabytes of RAM and 1 terabyte of internal memory. On the back of the gadget is a camera with four lenses with a resolution of 50, 12, 10 and 10 megapixels. The smartphone came with a 4800 milliamp-hour battery with support for 67-watt fast charging, MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

The cost of the basic version of the Mix Fold 3 is 8999 yuan, or about 121 thousand rubles. The top model, which has 16 gigabytes of RAM, is priced at 10,999 yuan, or about 147,000 rubles.

South Korean corporation Samsung at the end of July announced a new generation of folding smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5. The base version of the Galaxy Z Fold5 was $1,799 and the Galaxy Z Flip5 was $999.
