Finally, PlayStation 5 can be bought cheaper. But this cut heralds something else

Shortly after PlayStation 5 entered the market (in November 2020), players all over the world struggled with huge problems with the availability of the console. Shortages of electronic equipment and high demand meant that hunting down your copy in the store for a long time was almost a miracle. Today, there are no such problems, and we can buy PS5 at a really good price. Especially since Sony has just lowered the price of its equipment.

PlayStation 5 cheaper in Poland. But on the horizon a new version

As part of the new summer promotion in Poland, we will save PLN 320 on the purchase of PlayStation 5. On Tuesday, the suggested price of the console dropped from PLN 2,699 to PLN 2,379. We will see the new amount on the official PlayStation website and in partner stores. Of course, this is a “clean” version of PS5 without any additions in the form of games and in the standard version (with drive). This is one of the best opportunities to buy, because recently prices in stores started from about PLN 2,400-2,500. The Sony promotion is expected to last until August 7 (or while stocks last).

However, the manufacturer’s official price reduction may herald the arrival of a new version of PlayStation, which has been talked about a lot lately. According to leaks, Sony is to show a refreshed version of the PS5 Slim this summer, which will traditionally be slightly smaller and slimmer than the base version. Interestingly, in early July, during the court battle for the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, information about this console was revealed by … Microsoft. The American giant believes that Slim will go on sale this year and will cost $ 400 (PLN 1,600 without taxes).
