As the Minister of Digitization Janusz Cieszyński announced on Thursday, the new option in the mObywatel application will start on August 7. At first, a limited group of people will have access to the temporary one. The new feature, being added gradually, will become available to everyone by August 21 at the latest. This solution is to help in catching potential errors and help in removing them.
New in the mObywatel application. “After passing the exam, you can get behind the wheel”
The idea of a provisional driving license issued in electronic form assumes that new drivers will be able to drive vehicles for which they have recently obtained authorization before they receive the traditional form of the document. You will be able to add a provisional confirmation of passing the exam to the application. A driving license issued in this form will expire 30 days from the date of issue. After this time, freshly minted drivers should be able to identify themselves with its plastic form. – Today we are de facto announcing that after passing the exam, you can get behind the wheel and return home with newly acquired rights – quotes the Minister of Digitization.
Turbulent start of mObywatel 2.0. “No connection” consequence of system overload
The state-owned mObywatel application has recently undergone a major software update. On the night of July 13/14, it was changed to version 2.0. Its download was supposed to be associated with the possibility of almost completely replacing the plastic one with its electronic form. However, the mObywatel revolution met with such great interest that it failed on the first day. Until September 1 of this year, the ID in the application will not be able to be used to settle matters in the bank. Using it is voluntary and requires the age of 18. mObywatel is available on both Android and IOS.
