The Japanese car manufacturer Mazda is trying to get closer to the premium segment and the recently presented CX-90 confirms that intention.

In an event packed with details about Japanese culture, Mazda showcased its most valuable artwork to date at the Guayaquil Country Club, according to the brand’s own executives.

Maresa CEO Santiago Castro says the new Mazda CX-90 is the brand’s latest work of art, a product of its more than 100-year history. “Every detail of the new CX-90 is a reflection of the energy, soul and skill of the Mazda Takumi (Mazda Craftsmen). It is a great new chapter for Mazda in the Signature Line.”

This vehicle retains the Kodo design, the brand’s insignia, which can be seen in its sleek silhouette and elongated bonnet, which are complemented by a larger mask and chrome trim that connects to a pair of headlights, giving it a bolder look. It is completely spacious, it has three rows of eight seats.

Juan José Varea, general manager of Mazda, explains that the engine that will power the CX-90 will be a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 with 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque. “These numbers make it the most powerful Mazda ever built. In addition, it has a powerful platform and state-of-the-art technology, developed under the new Large architecture, exclusive to the brand,” emphasizes the executive.
