Nokia launches G42 5G smartphone that can be repaired at home

According to journalists, a high level of maintainability has become a distinctive feature of the released Nokia G42 5G device. The device received a modular design with quick access to the battery and other components. In the event of a breakdown, the user can purchase spare parts and replace the damaged parts at home. Nokia called the G42 the first 5G smartphone designed for self-service.
The corporation noted that consumers will be able to purchase tools and parts for repairs on the site of the iFixit partner. Thus, users will be able to independently replace the display, battery, charging port. Nokia G42 will also receive additional support with security updates.
The device came out with a 6.56-inch IPS screen and a Snapdragon 480+ processor. The phone has 4 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory. The device received a triple camera with lenses with a resolution of 50, 2 and 2 megapixels. The device is equipped with a 5000 milliamp-hour battery. The cost of Nokia G42 was 249 euros, or about 23 thousand rubles.
In February, Nokia introduced the G22, a self-repair phone. The device received in the kit tools for home repairs in case of breakage.
