Recruiting workers, thousands of professionals, is Germany’s short- and medium-term goal. A few months ago, the Minister of Labor, Hubertus Heil, revealed that they should get more and more employees every year… from this year 2023 to 2035.
Germany is looking to Latin America in the hope that they can fill the vacancies they have from this region.
They recently announced a program to attract immigrants: it’s called the Opportunity Card (“Chancekarte” in German).
The “Chancekarte” will use a points system to allow qualified workers to emigrate to that country,” reports the site I want to go.
“If we do nothing, we will be short of 7 million workers by 2035,” Minister Heil declared two months ago, El Universo reported citing BBC Mundo.

The German program hopes to attract more migrant workers
To qualify for the “chance card”and start adding points explain that these “will be based on qualifications and professional experience”.
The applicants, describes I want to go, must meet three of the four eligibility criteria:
Law in favor of the arrival of migrants in Germany
To make arrival in that European country “less difficult for skilled workers” and to minimize bureaucracy, Germany passed the new Skilled Immigration Law last week.
One of the aspects that stands out about the regulation that is about to enter into force is the so-called opportunity map based on a points system, ratified in El Cronista.
That medium reports that “the criteria include language skills, professional experience, age and connection to Germany.”
Another point to note is that the regulations, approved on June 23, 2023 by the lower house of the German parliament, “will also allow workers without special qualifications to enter the country, provided they are given the opportunity to take a . to submit an employment contract.”

What do you need to go to German territory?
If interested, professionals from Latin America, from any country, can find out what it takes to travel to Germany.
If you don’t have a European passport, get a visa if you plan to migrate from Latin America to Germany.
On June 13, El Universo stated: Once the visa is granted, “the government issues a residence permit of up to 18 months during which the applicant can standardize their professional qualification or undertake additional training.
Once you are approved and ready to work, you have one year to find a job that suits your profession”.
While in El Cronista, they report what an Argentinian citizen should do. The first thing that stands out is that “they can stay as tourists in the Schengen countries for a maximum of 90 days in six months without needing a visa.”
Labor camps in Germany
In that country, there are about 40,000 vacancies in hospitals, retirement homes and other care centers in the country.
In addition to doctors and nurses, the German government wants to attract engineers and computer scientists, scientists and mathematicians who have graduated from universities, professional drivers, train and ship engineers, masons and plumbers, and even master craftsmen, carpenters, reported El Universo at the beginning of June 2023.
