Cats are a symbol of good luck to some… but for seven beautiful cats, luck itself made them heirs to their deceased owner’s fortune.
Yes, the seven cats that accompanied octogenarian Nancy Sauer, who lived in Florida, United States, are her heirs and the news has spread all over the world.
The names of the lucky mascots are Goldfinger, Midnight, Leo, Cleopatra, Napoleon, Snowball and Squeaky, the New York Post reported.

Sauer, the American media reported, died in November 2022 at the age of 84.
In her will, she “stated that her Persian cats should remain in Tampa’s sprawling abode because separation would upset them.”
The mansion costs about $2.5 million. According to the New York newspaper, Sauer was “a businesswoman and proud mother known for her idiosyncratic tastes and love of shopping and cats.”
“The deal is that the house won’t be sold until the last cat dies,” Sauer’s friend Yana Alban told the New York Post.

However, the millionaire’s final decision was not fulfilled to the letter.

Sherry Silk, executive director of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, said: “The cats lived alone in the mansion for six months until a Hillsborough County judge recently ruled that they should be moved to a place where they could receive better care.
“I will personally make sure that we can keep as many as possible together and that they go to the perfect home,” he promised, according to the June 21 journalistic review.
The octogenarian was very special with her pets. “He left money to pay for all the veterinary care, all the food, everything the cats need,” Silk told the local NBC channel, EFE reported.
The money available for their maintenance is about $300 thousand, enough to cover their expenses and needs for the rest of their lives.

Five days later, on Monday, June 26, the EFE office confirms that Nancy Sauer left her cats “the necessities for life”.
The cats have already been given up for adoption and a deluge of applications has come in: some 200.
Goldfinger, Leo, Midnight, Napoleon, Cleopatra, Snowball and Squeaky already have new owners, selected after meeting various requirements. One in particular, of course, was “having experience with Persian cats,” according to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
What do they say in networks?
The legacy of the octogenarian is commented on social networks:
Natalia Paz: “Good logic…… animals are more grateful than people.”
Animals are more grateful than us humans, Sandra RamÃrez agrees.
Other users debate whether he should have donated the money to sick children. And there is no shortage of those who take everything with humor and would rather apply to be the caretaker of “michis” or, upon reading the note, respond with a laugh: “Meowuuu.”
