Witnesses posted videos of bloodied bodies dumped on the floor of a billiard room, where they said several people shared the birthday of one of the victims.
According to these versions, unknown persons with automatic weapons arrived in the room to attack them without giving them time to escape.
The attack came five days after the massacre of 48 prisoners at a women’s prison near the capital.
According to the authorities, prisoners of the Barrio 18 gang left their module and broke into the one where the rivals of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) were, attacking them with shots and setting fire to the prison.
The Honduran president also offered a reward of 800,000 lempiras (approximately $32,390) to those who facilitate the “capturing of murderers in (the) Choloma and San Pedro Sula massacres.”
