Honor returns to the Vistula River after a long period of absence on the Polish market. The brand that once belonged to Huawei enjoyed considerable popularity, but at the beginning of 2022 it unexpectedly evaporated from our country without informing about the reasons for its decision. Since then, the company’s smartphones could be obtained and bought abroad, but in Europe the brand officially operated only in a few countries. Now Honor has announced its return to Poland, and new smartphones will go to stores in our country. Each of them supports 5G connectivity and each has access to Google services.
Three interesting smartphones in Poland to start with
At the start, in Polish stores, we will see the company’s three most interesting smartphones – Honor Magic5 Pro, Magic5 Lite and Magic5 Vs. The first is a flagship of flesh and blood powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor today, a waterproof housing, a very bright screen and a price typical for this segment – PLN 5,499. For most of us, the Lite variant promises to be much more interesting, which – in addition to the mid-range Snapdragon 695 processor with 6 GB of RAM – is equipped with an AMOLED display bent at the edges with support for 120 Hz. The manufacturer also boasts that the Magic5 Lite will last from 2 to 3 days on a single charge (the battery has 5100 mAh). The whole thing looks great and does not cost much – PLN 1599. The last of the devices is a foldable phone that is to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Folda 4 and Huawei Mate X3. Honor will fight here, among others attractive (as for the segment of folded smartphones) price – PLN 7,499.
Honor was founded 10 years ago as a sub-brand of Huawei. The Chinese branded some smartphones with this name, which were directed to slightly different customers. Huawei got rid of the brand at the end of 2020 – that is – by selling it entirely to a consortium of Chinese companies. This decision ultimately saved Honor’s smartphone business. Today, the brand operates completely independently of its former “mother company”, and its smartphones – – have access to Android with Google services and 5G networks.
