What does the Government Security Center do?
RCB reports to the Prime Minister and is a state entity. Its tasks include, above all, coordinating the processes of preventing crises, and in the event of their occurrence, dealing with the process of minimizing their effects. RCB ensures the circulation of information throughout the public administration (ministries, offices and services), ensuring awareness in the area of crisis management and combating threats, which is why a significant part of citizens may associate the center with alerts they receive in text messages. In addition, the Government Center for Security assesses the risk of threats to national security, and unifies the perception of threats by individual ministries, and thus increases the ability of competent services and public administration bodies to cope with difficult situations. Both civilian experts, officers of the services and soldiers of the Polish Army work here.
