GSM Arena: Xiaomi announces Redmi 12 smartphone with 50MP camera

The Chinese corporation Xiaomi has announced the release of a cheap smartphone series Redmi. This is reported by the publication GSM Arena.

The Redmi 12 turned out to be another affordable phone from the brand. The device received a Mediatek Helio G88 processor, from 4 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory, a Mali-G52 MC2 graphics accelerator.

A distinctive feature of the device was called the main camera with a leading sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The presented device also has additional lenses of 8 and 2 megapixels. On the front is an 8-megapixel front camera.

Redmi 12 is equipped with a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The smartphone also received support for GPS and GLONASS, FM radio, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, NFC, and a fingerprint sensor built into the side button.

At the moment, the device was presented only in Thailand. The cost of Redmi 12 was 5299 baht, or about 13 thousand rubles.

At the end of May, the Chinese company Xiaomi announced sales of the new Redmi Note 12S smartphone in Russia. A device with an AMOLED display, a Mediatek Helio G96 processor and a camera with a 108-megapixel lens was valued at 21,990 rubles.
