A man, who describes being emotionally touched when he saw how his family had distanced himself, decided to carry out a plan that involved the complicity of his partner and daughters.

This subject, a tiktoker known as “Ragnar the Mad”, planned how to collect his relatives in an act. After considering scenarios, he chose to act on an idea. A little macabre. He didn’t care, he just wanted to know what kind of reaction he would get.

The plan was to fake her death and the painful news was broken to the family by her daughter.

Tiktoker fakes his death

David Baerten, 45, is the name of this tiktoker who became the talk of the social networks. One of Baerten’s daughters informed relatives of her father’s death. He did it with such regret that no one doubted it.

The girl shared an emotional farewell to her father with her followers, according to La Vanguardia. The vigil was held in Liege, Belgium, as planned, and the family members arrived; the ones Baerten hadn’t seen for so long.

I felt despised.

The vigil with great surprise

Men and women, wearing dark clothes, covered their eyes with lenses (glasses). Hugs between relatives predominated; Faces bathed in tears.

Amid scenes of pain, what the man wanted was fulfilled: to see his family together. No one except the wife and daughters knew what would happen.

When the tiktoker’s family cried, Baerten himself appeared to give them the surprise of a lifetime.

In a helicopter, he flew over the place where they mourned his death. When the plane landed, in front of the relatives’ incredulous gaze, he “turned back”.

What happened, what is this about?…the relatives thought and commented. They ran to where he was and the video that went viral on Tiktok contains impressive crying scenes starring men.

They couldn’t believe they were hugging and kissing their beloved David.

The lesson did not go down well

The plan was for everything to be recorded, so they hired a film crew. The video of the family reunion was broadcast on TikTok and was not well received by users.

There are those who describe him as a “circus” and wonder how he did that to those he loves.

According to La Vanguardia, Baerten responded to the criticism: “What I see in my family often hurts me. They never invite me to anything. No one sees me, we all distance ourselves. I felt despised. That’s why I wanted to give them a life lesson and show them that they shouldn’t wait for someone to die to join them.”

Long live Ragnar, I’m glad you’re still with us.

It is not easy to implement such a plan. Just as certain as how macabre this idea turned out to be is the impact caused in some people by distancing themselves from those they grew up with, lived with, or were born with for various reasons. Embracing yourself and telling the other person that they are important and that you want them in your life is a healthy mental health exercise.

Hopefully it’s never too late for the reunion.
