Hack to The Rescue is on! It’s time to harness artificial intelligence to build a better tomorrow

The Hack to The Rescue programming marathon has just started, in which programmers from all over the world will try to help non-governmental organizations solve the most pressing social problems. The goal, however, is to harness artificial intelligence for this. You can follow the video coverage of the event on our website.

The two-day hackathon (marathon of ideas and design) Hack To The Rescue is starting, under the media patronage of Next.Gazeta.pl. The task of the hackathon participants is to find solutions based on generative artificial intelligence for the most pressing problems that NGOs deal with. The opening of the hackathon is scheduled for Wednesday at 9.30 and you can watch it in the video below.

The stream will start again at 15.00, when the lectures will start. Maciej Cielecki from 10clouds will talk about the future of software, and Sandra Topic from AWS about the responsibility of artificial intelligence in the context of the fight for the climate. Then, Filip Styczyński will talk about the risks in products created by algorithms, and then Adrian Gwoździej (Polish Language Model) will instruct the audience on how to prepare data for training the AI ​​model. Maria Parysz will talk about how to prepare your team for the next generation of people who will not know the world without artificial intelligence. Finally, Dorothy Chou from Google Deepmind is scheduled to speak.

The hackathon will end on Thursday at 13.00. Projects will be evaluated until 15.00, and an hour later the closing ceremony and announcement of results will begin, which will also be broadcast on Gazeta.pl. Two presentations are scheduled for this time. Shaymal Andakat from OpenAI will show examples of the use of GPT-4 in solving social problems. Next, Jacek Siadkowski will talk about Tech To The Rescue, a foundation that connects non-governmental organizations with programmers who can help them pro bono. It is Tech to the Rescue that is responsible for organizing the entire event.
