The President of the United States, Joe Bidenfell suddenly Thursday while presenting diplomas to graduating cadets from the Air Force Academy in Colorado.

Biden, who is the country’s oldest president at 80 and is seeking a second termstumbled and fell to his knees, then got up after being assisted by Air Force officers.

After his fall, the president walked away unassisted and seemed to point to a sandbag on the podium that he seemed to trip over.

The White House blamed the black punching bag, which was seen near the podium where Biden delivered the starting address. “Okay,” White House communications director Ben LaBolt tweeted shortly after the incident. “There was a punching bag on stage shaking hands.”

Dr. Kevin O’Connor said last year after Biden’s annual physical exam that his “gait is still stiff, but it hasn’t gotten any worse since last year”.

“After careful review of the patient’s history, detailed findings of physical examination, and review of radiological images, the team concluded that much of their stiffness is actually the result of degenerative osteoarthritic (“wear and tear”) changes (or spondylosis) of the spine,” Biden’s doctor indicated.
