iPhone 12 fell at a record price in Russia

In the Russian market, the base iPhone 12 has fallen in price at a record. This is reported by Hi-Tech Mail.ru.

According to the project catalog, the cost of a smartphone with a 64 gigabyte storage device was set in the range of 56-57 thousand rubles. “The difference from the original price is almost 30 percent,” the journalists noted. At the start of sales in the fall of 2020, the device could be purchased for at least 80 thousand rubles.

The authors emphasized that the reduction in price is due to the recent release of Apple’s new generation smartphones. At the same time, iPhone 12 devices are still available in the company’s official online store. At the moment, the device can be purchased for 65 thousand rubles.

The iPhone 12 has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels, an Apple A14 Bionic processor, four gigabytes of RAM, and a dual camera with 12 megapixel lenses each. The gadget supports wireless charging according to the MagSafe standard.

Earlier, Kommersant’s sources among Russian retailers told about an acute shortage of Apple smartphones of the current and previous generations. According to MTS, Apple in October ranked third in sales of smartphones in unit terms in Russia, its market share reached 14.7 percent.
