Court upholds conviction of former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro for harassing journalists

The 4th Chamber of Private Law of the Court of Justice of Sao Paulo on Thursday confirmed a verdict against the former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2022), accused of collective immaterial damage to journalists.

However, the House has reduced the fixed compensation initially as a penalty to the former president, from 100,000 reais ($20,000 at the current exchange rate) to 50,000 reais ($10,000).
