RuStore started pre-installing on Vivo, Realme, Tecno and Xiaomi, Infinix and Itel smartphones
Smartphone manufacturers in China have begun preinstalling the Rustore store on their devices. It is reported by TASS.
At the presentation of Rustore, presented at the Russian Internet Forum (RIF), the developers of the online store spoke about their successes. In particular, they noted that Rustore appeared pre-installed on Vivo, Realme, Tecno and Xiaomi, Infinix and Itel smartphones, which are supplied and sold in Russia.
The developers also said that 300 foreign applications appeared in the store.
From 2023, the domestic platform must be pre-installed by manufacturers of all smartphones brought to the Russian market. Compliance with the law is controlled by Rospotrebnadzor.
The Rustore digital store for Android smartphones was developed by VK with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development. The first version of the service was released in May 2022.
The fact that manufacturers from China began to pre-install Rustore on their smartphones was reported by Kommersant newspaper sources at the end of April. At the same time, for such an initiative, Chinese companies may be threatened with disconnection from Google services on gadgets around the world.
