Google sends cars to Polish roads. We know the list of cities and dates

Have you seen the car with the camera on the roof? It’s Google that takes the photos. The American giant intends to update photos from the Vistula River in its Street View service. In the coming months, you will be able to meet characteristic vehicles with cameras on the roof, e.g. in Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań and Gdańsk.

The popular Street View service appeared in Poland in 2012 and since then Google cars with characteristic cameras on the roof have appeared on the Vistula River many times. Now Google is sending them to the streets of Polish cities again. You will be able to meet them in our country until November 2023.

Street View has become extremely popular, e.g. thanks to the gigantic database of cities, towns, highways and even small local roads that we can see in the street view. Thanks to this, using a smartphone or a computer with the Google Maps application, we can easily move to almost any place in the world and exactly what the interesting tourist attraction or the street where we booked the hotel looks like. By sending cars to the roads, Google managed to collect a huge database of photos also in Poland. Now it’s time to update the photos taken some time ago.

Google is constantly updating the list of cities around the world where we can meet street view vehicles. The list includes as many as several dozen smaller and larger towns in Poland. In addition to Warsaw, Krakow and other large cities, you will be able to meet cars of the American company, e.g. also in Stargard, Konin, Chełm, Ostróda, Kędzierzyn Koźle, Słupsk and Koszalin. Regardless of the part of the country, the photos are to be taken on the Vistula River until November this year.

In hard-to-reach places, apart from cars, Google also sends from time to time employees with characteristic “backpacks” recording the image. A few days ago, such a move was also made by Apple (a service similar to Street View) to Poland. Apple emissaries In the future, photos from other Polish cities are to appear in Apple Maps.
