After the death of Elizabeth II in September 2022, who takes her place is his first son Carlos III, the new king of the United Kingdom. But with this change the line of succession is also changed. Carlos’ coronation will take place on Saturday 6 May. 70 years have passed since the last time the crown passed into the hands of the successor; this time the party lasts for three days.

The British royal family has a complex structure of princes, dukes and earls that clearly defines who may ascend the throne and in what order. NASTYNow Prince William, the eldest son of Charles, is the heir to the throne.

Thus continues the line of succession in the House of Windsor

There are currently 23 individuals in the line of succession. It is important to clarify that after the Perth Agreements (2011) the same rights were granted to women. With the new laws, the children’s children go before the brothers, which explains why Prince Enrique has logically been expelled by his brother’s children Guillermo and Catalina.

These are the members of the line of succession.
