After four days of searching, US police have captured the suspect in the murder of five Hondurans in Texas, United States.

The suspect was identified as Francisco Oropeza, 38, who shot the family Friday night after they claimed him for the noise he made when he used his semi-automatic rifle in their yard. Among the dead was a 9-year-old boy.

Oropeza is being held in the town of Cut and Shoot, about 30 miles from the crime scene, San Jacinto County District Attorney Todd Dillon said, according to reports on their websites from several local TV stations. He would face a murder charge.

CNN gave the information citing two police sources.

After the events, the man fled and police launched a fierce manhunt, with authorities offering a reward of up to $80,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Texas, a conservative state in the southern United States where guns are plentiful and freely available, is a constant scene of shootings and gun-related crimes.

This incident is the latest in a string of shootings across the United States sparked by botched domestic interactions: a teenager who accidentally knocked on the wrong door while looking for his siblings, a cheerleader who parked the wrong car on a parking space or someone who accidentally stopped at the wrong house.
