More than 200 migrants were rescued in Mexico on Wednesday evening after they were abandoned in a trailer drying box on the Villahermosa-Coatzacoalcos highway in Veracruz.
The National Institute of Migration announced that the 209 migrants had four nationalities: Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador and Honduras.
Through a statement, they reported that around midnight, along with the National Guard, they heard cries for help, so when the compartment was opened, men and women began to appear, as well as minors, asking to get both air and water.
