Izvestia: Microsoft stopped warranty service for all Xbox consoles in Russia

Microsoft has stopped warranty service for all Xbox consoles in Russia. This applies even to those set-top boxes that were officially imported into the country, Izvestia reports.

“Warranty service for consoles, including those officially imported into the Russian Federation, is no longer available due to the current situation,” a company technical support representative told the newspaper.

He advised the owners of the consoles in the event of a breakdown to contact the store where they purchased it. The same advice was given in Rospotrebnadzor. The sellers of the set-top boxes, in turn, expressed their readiness to repair them if necessary.

It is noted that the presence of problems with warranty service is confirmed by both users of set-top boxes and retailers.

Sony previously stated that Activision will deliberately degrade the quality of Call of Duty games on the PlayStation following the acquisition by Microsoft.
