PhoneArena: Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphones will receive at least 12 gigabytes of RAM

Smartphone manufacturers intend to significantly increase the minimum amount of RAM in devices. This is reported by the publication PhoneArena.

Media journalists cited a source who said that the Samsung Galaxy S24 flagships, which are scheduled for release in early 2024, will receive at least 12 gigabytes of RAM. It is likely that other phone manufacturers will also increase the amount of memory in their devices.

According to the source, the Galaxy S24 will have 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory in the base version. Top versions should get 16 gigabytes of RAM and 1 terabyte of internal memory. For comparison, Galaxy S23 series phones hit the market with at least 8 gigabytes of RAM.

Journalists noted that other smartphone companies should follow the example of Samsung. Apparently, the trend is unlikely to spread to Apple – for example, the current flagship of the iPhone 14 Pro Max brand has only 6 gigabytes of RAM.

Earlier, CNBC journalists said that the popularity of push-button phones and smartphones without Internet access has grown in the United States. According to experts interviewed by the TV channel, this is due to the desire of consumers to save money and reduce dependence on social networks.
