“Yandex” announced a new column “Station Max” and sensors for smart home
The Russian company Yandex has announced new smart home devices. This was reported on the corporation’s website.
Among the presented devices was the updated “Station Max”, which received support for the Zigbee protocol to control smart home devices. The column has an LED screen, five speakers with a capacity of 65 watts, supports image output in 4K resolution.
The company also introduced a hub that also supports the Zigbee protocol and allows you to control home smart devices in the absence of a smart speaker. Smart sensors appeared in the company’s lineup – for opening windows and doors, movement and lighting, measuring temperature and humidity, detecting leaks and a wireless button.
The company clarified that all sensors also support the Zigbee protocol. In the future, devices will work with the unified Matter protocol when other smart device manufacturers switch to it. In this case, Yandex will update the software of the gadgets. The cost of the new “Station” and devices for smart home is not disclosed.
The first Yandex column with a screen, Station Max, was introduced in November 2020. The company’s line also includes the basic “Yandex.Station” of the first and second generation, compact speakers “Station Mini” and “Station Light”.
