That is what the President of the United States, Joe Biden, has said Monday’s deadly shooting at a Nashville elementary school is ‘disgusting’ and that armed violence tears apart the “soul” of the nation.

“It’s just disgusting,” he said at the White House.

Biden praised the police for responding “in a few minutes”but asked Congress to pass a law banning assault rifles.

“It’s tearing our communities apart, tearing at the soul of this nation, tearing at the soul of the nation,” he insisted.

The president made the remarks after a heavily armed 28-year-old woman opened fire at a private primary school in Nashville, southern United States, killing three children and three adults before being shot dead by police.
