The new smartphone of the Chinese company Realme is primarily a proposal for people looking for a relatively efficient smartphone, but for little money. Realme C55 costs only a thousand zlotys and has a large amount of memory. It is a pity that the producer tries too hard to refer to the iPhone.
Realme C55 is a proposition for the thrifty
The smartphone has already appeared on the shelves of Polish electronics stores and costs PLN 999 (later the price is to change to PLN 1099). Its heart is the MediaTek Helio G88 processor with support in the form of 8 GB of RAM (expandable by another 8 GB separated from the mass memory) and 256 GB of data space (a 6/128 GB version is also to appear in the Play network).
The screen is a classic LCD panel with a diagonal of 6.72 inches, Full HD resolution with support for 90 Hz refresh rate. In addition, we have a rather poor set of cameras consisting of a main sensor with a resolution of 64 Mpix and a 2 Mpix supporting camera. It is a pity that there was no, even the most ordinary wide-angle camera.
The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh, and the smartphone supports 33 W charging (the appropriate charger is included). The manufacturer promises that a full charge of the phone should not take more than 63 minutes, which is a good result in this price range.

However, what distinguishes Realme C55 (not necessarily positively) is a noticeable similarity to the latest iPhones 14. Flat edges with similarly rounded corners are one thing. The Chinese manufacturer has equipped its phone with – as it claims – the “unique function” of the Mini Capsule, which at first glance is a copy of the Dynamic Island used in the iPhone 14 Pro.
Just like in the iPhone, we have a black bar surrounding the selfie camera on the screen. However, the Mini Capsule has much less capabilities than the last Apple smartphone. Realme’s characteristic island displays information about the battery charge, the amount of data used and the number of steps taken.
