Hyundai partnered with Galapaxy, aiming to save the Galapagos Islands from plastic pollution and communicate its vision of carbon neutrality by 2045. The companies plan to provide four smart drinking fountains with the function of optimizing water consumption and recycling bottles, in different universities of the country.

The delivery of the first smart drinker took place at the Catholic University of Ecuador, headquartered in Quito. And by 2023, it is expected to supply three drinkers to various university institutions in the country. Each drinker has a dispenser, geolocated in it appsbottle counter, cooling system, purification system, touch-freefiltering particles and micro-organisms.

“We want to be promoters of a more sustainable life. For this reason, we are working with Galapaxy to promote education that is more aware of the use of plastic.
