This car from the Chinese brand is designed to minimize environmental impact without compromising on quality or performance, thus contributing to the promotion of sustainable mobility and clean energy in the country.

It will have three types of consumption: it is electric and can be charged at home without any problems; it will be hybrid due to low fuel consumption in cities; and will have the option of gasoline fuel. The three options together are the ones that maintain low gas mileage and are environmentally friendly.

The electric motor has a range of 100 kilometers and 650 km in hybrid mode, which can also be charged at electric stations in the country. According to the Association of Automotive Companies of Ecuador (Aeade), there are 17 in Guayaquil, 16 in Quito, 2 in Galapagos and 2 in Loja.

Christian Cazar, Chery’s marketing manager, emphasized that in addition to hybrid, electric and petrol driving, it also offers leather, heated, electronic seats and electric trunk release.

In addition, with safety in mind, it has the advanced driver assistance systems (Adas), which offers blind spot systems, automatic braking, pedestrian detection, cross traffic and lane departure. This would be one of ten systems that the new vehicle will bring.

Chery is the fifth best-selling car in the country. Diego Andrade, director of the brand in Ecuador, pointed out that sales are increasing and that his plans are to position the brand in third place by 2023.
