A database containing data on people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ecuador was put up for sale on a hacker forum, Alfredo Velazco of the organization Digital Users revealed.
“The sale of the @Salud_Ec Ecuador COVID19 database is being denounced in a hacker forum, it would contain data such as name, identification number, date of birth and vaccination. A similar base has been ceded to supermarket chains by the current government,” he wrote on Twitter.

The Ministry of Health has not yet made a statement about this data breach.
