Apple terminated warranty service for iPad and Mac in Russia

Apple will not repair iPads and Macs in Russia

Apple has stopped servicing tablets and computers in Russia. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the authorized service center (ASC) Fixed.one.

According to the information that was at the disposal of the ASC, the American company decided not to provide warranty repairs to iPad and Mac users from Russia. Service center employees should suggest that customers who encounter problems contact the store where the equipment was purchased and demand a refund.

Fixed.one noted that warranty repairs for iPhones and Apple Watch smartwatches will be carried out as usual, “however, it is not very clear for how long.” The company predicted the imminent closure of many authorized service centers, which will have “nothing to service.”

In March 2022, Apple announced that it was introducing restrictions for the Russian region. In particular, the company stopped selling all gadgets in online stores and turned off the Apple Pay payment system.

Earlier it became known that foreign intermediaries began to refuse to supply the iPhone to Russia. According to Izvestia journalists, parallel imports are under threat due to new US sanctions prohibiting the import of gadgets over $300.
