Eiichiro Odathe author of the manga ‘A piece’he turned to the successful intelligence model ChatGPT to give him ideas for the next edition of his story.

The popular cartoonist asked the AI chat for inspiration with a simple command: “Hello. This is the author. I can’t think of a story for One Piece next week. Would you think of a story?”.

Within seconds, ChatGPT presented you with a story where the heroes meet new friends and fight new enemies, including the “King of Shadows”. Although the AI tried to sell the story to Oda as a thrilling walkthrough of one of his characters, the author was not thrilled with the idea.

“Sorry, It’s Boring”, Eiichiro Oda replied on ChatGPT. On the second occasion, the chat came with a story about an alien who joins the characters from “One Piece” and the “pirate king” Luffy to fight a witch and rebuild his home star that was destroyed by an evil starship . .

“Thanks. I’ll draw her as she is.”Writing in a comment, Oda cast doubt on whether this will really be the next installment of the manga.

“One Piece” is the story of Luffy and his crew as they search for the titular treasure coveted by all pirates. The latest installment appeared in Japanese manga magazine Shonen Jump on July 25.

The series has collected more than 100 volumes and broken sales records since the first volume appeared in 1997. (E)
