Studying for a master’s degree is the next academic step that can be taken by those who have graduated from college and hold a bachelor’s degree. Depending on the rigor of the university and the mastery level chosen, students must complete a series of requirements in order to be admitted to the degree program.

The International University of La Rioja, in Spain, together with the Ecuadorian Communications Council, offers the Zoila Ugarte Academic Excellence Scholarships for those interested in pursuing master’s degrees online, related to communication. This year opens the sixth edition of the exhibition competition.

The Master’s degree programs last one year and the scholarships cover 100% of tuition fees and the total cost of credits.

There are a total of twelve scholarships in the following postgraduate degrees:

Employees of public, private and community media, employees of communications, advertising or audiovisual production agencies, employees of the communications departments of public and private institutions can apply. The requirement is to be Ecuadorians or foreigners with legal residency and an Ecuadorian identity card.

The scholarship accreditation process is completely online, takes four months and has five phases.
