CompareDial: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra outperforms iPhone 14 Pro in performance tests

Samsung’s top smartphone turned out to be less productive than Apple’s flagship. This is reported in the CompareDial service report.

The company’s specialists studied the results of Geekbench 5 synthetic tests, in which enthusiasts compared the power of modern smartphones. It turned out that the flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, presented on February 1, scored 1480 points in the single-core test and 4584 points in the multi-core test. Its competitor, the iPhone 14 Pro, received 1874 and 5384 points, respectively, in similar tests – thus, the Apple device surpassed the Samsung device in this indicator by 21 percent.

“From the moment of its inception, phones of the flagship Galaxy line have been inferior in performance to iPhone devices,” the authors summed up. According to experts, in recent years the gap has become even more noticeable: due to Apple’s ARM processors and the optimization of new iPhones.

The article says that Samsung nevertheless managed to significantly improve the performance of new devices compared to devices in 2022. It turned out that the Galaxy S23 Ultra was more powerful than the Galaxy S22 model in single-core and multi-core tests by 60 and 57 percent, respectively.

In early February, it became known that Russian retailers planned to sell new flagship Samsung smartphones. The base model Galaxy S23 will cost 74,999 rubles, the most affordable version of the Galaxy S23+ will be priced at 87,999 rubles.
