In 2022, 1.4 billion devices were shipped to the market, in 2021 – 1.43 billion.

The material says that shipments of smartphones will drop to the level of 2009 – at that time Blackberry and Nokia were leaders in the industry, and Apple was trying to gain a foothold in the market with a new iPhone product.
