Elon Musk has a new idea. There will be ad-free Twitter and more foreign tweets

Elon Musk has been trying to make the service profitable since taking over Twitter in late October 2022. He started, among others from redundancies, getting rid of most of the 7.5 thousand. employees. He also remodeled the Twitter Blue paid subscription system, which now allows you to get a blue tag of a verified account.

There will be Twitter without ads. But at a higher price

However, the billionaire has another plan, which he claims will be implemented soon. Elon Musk stated in one of his tweets that there are still too many ads on Twitter. What’s more, it not only wants to limit their number, but also plans to reduce the size of ads displayed on the social networking site.

Twitter ads are too frequent and too big. We have taken action to resolve both issues in the coming weeks

Musk wrote.

Soon after, he added that he also plans to introduce an additional subscription for access to Twitter, which will allow you to browse the site completely ad-free. We can expect it to be offered at a higher price than Twitter Blue available today, which costs $8 (for the browser version) or $11 (for iOS and Android devices). The head of Twitter did not reveal when exactly we can expect changes.

Interestingly, Elon Musk in recent days has dealt not only with the topic of advertising. Over the weekend, he also announced that in the coming months, Twitter would start automatically translating and recommending tweets from people “from other countries and cultures.” However, he did not explain how this function should work (Twitter already uploads many foreign tweets today, but does not translate them automatically).

In subsequent tweets, Musk in his style stated that “interesting and funny tweets” from around the world are worth seeing. He also explained that tweets in other countries, especially in Japan, “are epic.”
