WhatsApp announced a series of new features for its next update, where it hopes to give more importance to the needs and requests of its users.
The company reported that it is sending a notification that informs the possibility of changing the caption of a photo, a video or a file before it is resent in the latest update of its version for Android.
For now, the platform only allows you to add words or phrases along with files such as images or videos. The same does not happen, however, when it comes to sending documents in Doc or PDF format, according to the WABetaInfo Week review.
In case the sender has included a caption or a description of the video you have sent, this will also be shared along with the multimedia content in case you forward it to other contacts.

To inform users that it is possible to change these texts in forwards, WhatsApp is implementing a notification indicating this.
This functionality “is very important” as it allows users to “maintain control over the messages they send” and prevents unwanted foot forwards.
In this way, if a user receives a photo or video with a certain description and wants to forward it to another person, they can keep it, modify it or delete it according to their needs.

That said, this new feature was part of the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.23.1.25. However, this same portal indicated in version 2.23.2.6 a new update of this function in development in which it is indicated that this Google service is not necessary for the migration of chats.
Android users will receive a notification that this data can be transferred without using Drive, although they need to turn on certain permissions to allow this movement.
